Kevin at crackberry.com has done it one more time .This weekend was HUGE for leaked info on the BlackBerry Storm (thanks BG!). Another feature that came along with the Zune 3.0 software update was the addition of Audible.com support. While maybe not the most advanced of the new features , its one that I am personally excited to see, in fact I would say that this addition was long overdue. Aside from the support, Audible is also offering a few freebies. The first is a 30-day trial to test out the Audible service, of course this offer is valid only for new customers. The second offer is a free book, and this one is available for everyone. The freebie book is Black River by Dean Koontz and can be downloaded by any Z... -
Microsoft “I’m a PC” ad created using a MacBy Gadgetboy on September 21st, 2008 | No Comments
If you’re going to promote your own platform while dissing the other guy’s, it’s probably a good idea to not use the other guy’s to create your commercial. Turns out that phase two of the “I’m a PC” advertising against Apple was created on a Mac. Ironic. What are the chances that Apple is going to run with this and make fun of them for it? Probably pretty good. Metadata found in the images of the PC user featured on the “I’m a PC” web site tells the tale. The data showed that the images were produced using Macs that were running Adobe Creative Suite 3. Microsoft responde... -
Microsoft to announce no more Seinfeld ads tomorrow ! what a PR disaster for microsoftBy Gadgetboy on September 17th, 2008 | No Comments
Apparently the new series of Windows Vista ads starring Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates did not impress Microsoft, or many others for that matter. Microsoft has now basically admitted that the ads bombed, sucked and otherwise blew and they’ve actually fired Jerry Seinfeld. Bill Gates being Bill Gates will stick around and may be back in future ads. The series will go on, but not with Seinfeld. Which likely means without the funny. And who knows what direction it will take. Personally after the suckage of the first ad , I thought they were beginning to hit their stride . So tomorrow you’... -
