This is the Samsung i740, which got an official press release in Kiev last week. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 (Pro) it’s a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) touch-screen device with a auto-focus 3 megapixel camera and flash. The device also has GPS and an optical joystick for phone navigation with a microSD card slot for added storage. Inside is a 150mAh battery and FM radio, although there’s a distinct lack of 3G or WiFi connectivity, turning this into a handset which will provide a rather slow browsing / email experience. I know you are all craving the upcoming Samsung Instinct from Sprint, which is destined to be their answer to the iPhone. The device is set to be coming next month, and is in all reality one of the most anticipated devices, ever. Stalkees rejoice! It turns out we actually can block text messages with AT&T now. As in: “Oh, I’m sorry boss, I didn’t get your SMS over the weekend. See, it’s not on my phone. How weird. Snicker.” While it’s always been possible to block phone calls, blocking text messages has always been, well, impossible. Perhaps not impossible, but certainly there was no decent way to do it.
