  • Tmobile suspends sales on Nokia 5610 express music phone
By Gadgetboy on November 9th, 2008 | No Comments Comments
According to a T-Mobile spokesperson, T-Mobile is suspending the sale of the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic handset and recalling the entire 5610 inventory, including floor demos and literature, from all stores and warehouses. The issue appears to be a manufacturing problem that affects the display. Nokia has now fixed the error in the current crop of 5610s but the T-Mobile’s supply were all manufactured prior to the fix and still have the design flaw. Unfortunately, at this point, there is no word as to whether the 5610 will return to T-Mobile’s lineup. Anyone whose phone experiences any probl...

One of the best file manager apps for S60 devices has been updated. X-plore v1.30 brings several new enhancements to the table, including an improved (or that’s different) user interface, and a theme support. Naturally, several issues from the previous version were also fixed. Let’s first discuss the user interface. As you can see from the image above, the folks behind X-plore (LCG dev team) don’t like the standard S60 UI’s look and feel, hence they went one step forward to make use of the whole screen. Fonts are small, but they are quite readable, hence there’s more information dis...

Just as the wireless market gets flooded with new smart phones and wireless devices, the economy has turned south. As a result of the downturn, some forecasters predict wireless customers will spend less on new devices, including an array of sophisticated smart phones such as Apple Inc.’s iPhone 3G, the T-Mobile G1 based on Android software, and the upcoming BlackBerry Storm. At the same time, wireless customers may start cutting back on their monthly voice and data plan spending, forecasters say, even as AT&T Wireless last week and Verizon Wireless today reported strong third-quarter...

  • You must own this item to write a customer review for the applications says APPLE
By Gadgetboy on September 27th, 2008 | No Comments Comments
Ever since the App Store started, one of the biggest complaints from numerous individuals was the fact that many people were leaving reviews for applications without even purchasing them. This led to inaccurate reviews left by people who actually had no right to be reviewing it without trying it. However, Apple has put a requirement now that users wanting to leave a review must now have first purchased the application. I think this will definitely help get more accurate and mature reviews for applications, rather than the very immature and half-baked reviews that are on every application now. ...
  • Tmobile might open up the Tzones soon
By Gadgetboy on September 26th, 2008 | No Comments Comments
T-Mobile director of handset innovation Saj Sahar hinted earlier this week that T-Mobile T-zones would be relaunched and rebranded into something similar to “Web n’ Walk”. Available only in Europe, Web n’ Walk allows full Internet access on any T-Mobile phone. Novel concept, huh? Novel at least for T-Mobile who, as part of their T-Zones service, blocks certain ports on its branded phones in order to force users to use only the standard xHTML browser included on the phone. For those T-Mobile folks who have suffered through this crippled web experience, an overhaul and an opening up o...
