  • Palm Centro coming to verizon for $99

    Verizon has as expected, announced their Palm Centro today, which results in the top three US carriers carrying the Centro, which Palm says is “off to the strongest start of any smartphone in Palm’s history”. The Centro is also the first Palm phone that is eligible for Verizon’s “unlimited E-mail and Web for Smartphone” plan, which is going for $29.99.     Opera Software has announced a “silent” update of its Opera Mini 4.1 web browser for BlackBerry and Palm device users. With the new version (4.1.11355) of Opera Mini, BlackBerry users should now be able to only use WiFi. In addition, BIS might be working, though Opera Mini folks can’t guarantee that — it works on one of their two different service providers.
